I haven't been able to get online recently, so therefore: no posts. But here's a bit of what I've been reading lately:

Mirador, The Virtu, and Melusine -- three books by Sarah Monette. Seriously, they're wonderful. Monette is a brilliant, brilliant writer and I'm so upset that I have to wait till next year for the fourth book in the series. Jocelyn, I think you'll like this series. For one thing, one of the main characters is gay ("molly" as the lingo goes) and has to deal with the stigma of that, and for another, it's a fantasy series -- but not one of those cheaply made ones anyone can create over breakfast. Something to rival Tolkein -- but not as stodgy or stick-up-the-ass conservative like that author.

Aaaaand....that's about all that's worth mentioning. Truly. My summer has been slow and disappointing
